A fourteen-man youth executive of Ikweghwu Community, Agbarho, headed by Agbarhovogho Achora, has been inaugurated.
Inaugurating the fourteen man youth executive of Ikweghwu community, the President of the community, Olorogun Bright Omogwhare stated that the youth structure is very key to the smooth administration of any community and as such, they should assist the central executive and security agencies to ensure that the community is free from crime related issues such as drug abuse, cultism, armed robbery, development collection amongst other activities that are capable of stunting the development of the community.
Chief Omogwhare who tasked the youth executive to make integrity their watch word for team spirit amongst them suedtasked them to always consult widely before arriving at any critical decision.
The President of Ikweghwu community revealed that having grown through the ranks as a youth executive, he has always encouraged youth inclusion in governance, despite challenges that led to the disbandment of previous bodies.
He urged them to be guided by the constitution of the community in running the affairs of the youth body.
Spokesperson of the community, Isaac Ikurusu, and Chairman of the Ikweghwu Community Christian Association, Pastor Obire Oghenevwarho amongst other elders in the community advised the youth executive to run an all inclusive administration laced with fairness, transparency as well as humility and respect for the elders council and the central executive if they must succeed.
They equally urged them to shun selfish tendencies, not to be bias in their judgement but to be firm and just in their dealings with members of the public.
The youth president of Agbarho kingdom, Chief Eruese Efe, who administered the oath of office on the new executive advised them to work as a team and project the community in good light.
The newly inaugurated Youth Chairman, Mr Agbarhovogho Achora, expressed gratitude to the executive and indegenes of Ikweghwu for the trust and promised to disappoint them but work tirelessly for the growth and development of the Community.
Mr Achora assurered that the youths of the community are strongly behind the second term bid of the incumbent president as being proposed by the elders of the community.
At the helm of the new youth executive are Agbarhovogho Achora, Chairman; Onajite Peter, Vice Chairman; and Evans Abbas, Secretary, among others.
