15-Year-Old Amarie Ogheneserome from Isoko LGA in Delta gets best WAEC result with 8 A1s

An indigene of Delta State, Miss Amarie Mitchelle Ogheneserome from Araya in Isoko South Local Government scored A1s in all 8 subjects she sat for in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

Aunt to Amarie, Peace Odioko, who took to Facebook to celebrate the feat, wrote: “Proud Aunt to this 15-year-old genius. AMARIE MITCHELLE OGHENESEROME. Outstanding result in the just concluded West Africa Examination Council.”

Meanwhile, the Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko has congratulated Miss Amarie.

Ukodhiko in a statement, said “the news of one of my constituents, Mitchelle Amarie from Araya community garnering distinctions in all her subjects at the recent West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations got me excited beyond words.”

According to Hon. Ukodhiko, “From my findings, Miss Ogheneserome Amarie is a 15 year old child prodigy and exceptionally brainy student of Lead-Forte Gate College, Lekki in Lagos State, who walks the path of hard work, dedication, diligence and excellence.

“She has etched in our collective memory’s hall of fame her unparalleled academic achievement, bringing honour and pride not only to her immediate Amarie family of Araya but the entire Isoko-nation she has made proud.

“We celebrate Mitchelle’s exploit of achieving A1 in all of her 8 WAEC subjects. Her inspiring story of academic heroism has further concretized the fact that Isoko is a home of enlightenment and academic accomplishments.”

The Isoko federal lawmaker expressed optimism that the brilliant achievement of Miss Ogheneserome Amarie would serve as the needed morale booster that would spur other students of Isoko origin to attain higher academic achievements.

“I must enjoin the people of Isoko to see Mitchelle’s academic feat as a way of recommitting themselves to the values and gains of education in order to make Isoko education an epicenter of Nigeria, nay, Africa.

“Education is central in the making of a nation as the commanding heights we have attained in all professions and spheres of human endeavors are results of acquisition of education.

“Thus, we must as parents, guardians and teachers inculcate in our children, wards and students.
