Leaders and stakeholders of the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency Forum (U3) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have declared their full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing them as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.
During the meeting held on Sunday, Hon. Francis Waive, who represents the Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, moved the motion for a vote of confidence and formal endorsement of the two leaders.
Waive praised President Tinubu for his developmental achievements, especially the approval of the Federal Medical Centre in Udu, which he described as a major milestone.
He also commended Governor Oborevwori, describing him as a dedicated and forward-thinking leader, and emphasized that both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori have earned the right to a second term based on their ongoing contributions to progress and development.
He urged members to mobilize their constituents to take part in the ongoing voter registration exercise to guarantee strong grassroots support for both President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 elections.
The motion, which was unanimously approved through a voice vote led by the forum’s Chairman, Olorogun John Oguma, was seconded by Hon. Matthew Omonade, who represents Ughelli North Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Earlier, while welcoming attendees to the meeting held in Ovwian, Udu Local Government Area, Oguma explained that the forum was established to promote unity within the party across the constituency and to work toward the re-election of both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He noted that the U3 Forum existed even before the merger of the legacy parties and emphasized the need for members to stay united, plan strategically, and ensure that everyone is included in the group’s activities.
In his remarks, the host and Deputy Chairman of the forum, Chief Eddie Ono Sorhue, expressed gratitude to the leadership for the opportunity to host the meeting and commended members for maintaining harmony within the party.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the forum’s Secretary, Rt. Hon. Festus Agas, a former Secretary to the Delta State Government, applauded both the leadership and members of the U3 Forum for their dedication and shared sense of purpose.
Also speaking, Chief Vincent Oyibode, Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, praised the forum’s leadership for its media outreach on the ongoing voter registration exercise and urged members to continue encouraging people in their communities to register and collect their voter cards.
Speaking with journalists, Chief Fred Majemite commended the unity among members and described the endorsement of both leaders as a positive and strategic move. He also called on party supporters to return to their wards and step up mobilization efforts for the APC.
Similarly, former House of Representatives member Hon. Chris Oghenechovwen emphasized the importance of unity within the forum, noting that only through collective effort can lasting success be achieved.
The meeting drew political leaders, key stakeholders, and party members from Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu local government areas.
