23-year-old suspected motorcycle thief, Joshua Akpotu arrested in Delta community

In its bid to rid the community of crime and criminality, the Aladja Crack Team, comprising Exco, Vigilantes, Hunters, CJTF, and Quarter Youth Excos, in the early hours of Thursday, January 9, 2025, arrested a 23-year-old suspected motorcycle thief, Joshua Akpotu, for allegedly stealing a Qlink motorcycle belonging to one Efe Mukoro.

The suspect, who is from Ovwian Community, was caught in the morning.

Men of the security outfit stationed to guard the streets of Aladja flagged him down with the bike and he fled. They gave him a hot chase and apprehended him.

At the time of this report, the Aladja security men took the suspect to his hideout where he said one of his criminal accomplices sleeps.

He had also confessed that he and his accomplices go to places within and outside Aladja to steal.

The Aladja security has promptly taken the suspect to the Police station where they intend to hand him over.

The renewed efforts of the security outfit are paying off.

Recall YourCitiNews reported recently, the security outfit in Aladja Community apprehended four notorious armed robbers and handed them over to the Police, Ovwian/Aladja Division.

It would be recalled that two out of the four suspects escaped from the Police cell.
