2nd Anniversary: Oborevwori pledges more transformational leadership

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has reaffirmed his commitment to deliver more transformational leadership as his administration enters its third year.

Speaking during the 2025 Delta State Thanksgiving and Praise Day in Asaba, the Governor thanked Deltans for their support, unity and commitment to peace over the past two years. He assured that the remaining half of his tenure would see accelerated development across all sectors.

Highlighting the state’s strategic role in national revenue generation, Oborevwori expressed optimism that Delta would gain more from its alliance with the Federal Government.

“Delta has made notable strides in infrastructure, social welfare, and economic advancement. We return all glory to God and ask for more as we continue the journey,” he said.

He emphasized unity, pointing to the inclusive nature of the event, which had representation from both PDP and APC leaders, describing it as a milestone in Delta’s political harmony.

Delivering the sermon, Archbishop Cyril Odutemu of the Bendel Province, Anglican Communion, praised Oborevwori’s achievements, citing the Ughelli-Asaba Highway as a standout. He called the Governor “a child of destiny” and urged continued unity and stakeholder engagement.

The event was attended by a wide array of dignitaries, including former Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, federal lawmakers, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, and party leaders from across the divide.

Oborevwori concluded with a call for sustained prayers and support as his administration pushes forward with the MORE Agenda.
