2nd anniversary: Sen. Joel-Onowakpo hails Tinubu, Oborevwori’s transformative leadership

As President Bola Tinubu marks the second anniversary of his administration and Delta State celebrates two years under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has hailed the impactful governance that is reshaping both the nation and his home state.

In a message of solidarity, the Senator representing Delta South described the period as a defining era of progress, resilience, and renewed hope.

President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, launched at the onset of his presidency, is credited with igniting fresh optimism and setting Nigeria on a course toward long-term economic recovery and stability. From tough decisions like the removal of fuel subsidies to the unification of exchange rates, Tinubu’s bold reforms have drawn both praise and scrutiny. However, the results are beginning to materialize as investor confidence grows and key sectors like energy, transportation, and digital infrastructure undergo significant transformation.

On the home front, Delta State’s Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been championing the “M.O.R.E Agenda”; a blueprint centered on delivering Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Realistic reforms, and Enhanced peace and security. In just two years, his administration has rolled out sweeping infrastructural projects across the state, including roads, bridges, schools, and health centers. Youth and women empowerment initiatives are gaining momentum, while the push for inclusive governance is creating a stronger, more unified Delta.

Senator Joel-Onowakpo described the combined impact of the Tinubu-Oborevwori era as a powerful synergy that is fast-tracking development across all levels of governance. He emphasized that Deltans are fully aligned with this vision and are energized by the clear direction and results being delivered. As the nation looks toward the 2027 political horizon, the Senator expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope and MORE Agendas will continue to deepen democratic dividends and drive transformational change.

The Senator extended warm congratulations to both leaders, celebrating their unwavering commitment to national unity, regional development, and the elevation of lives across Nigeria.

“May your visions bring more transformation and may your legacies endure,” Senator Joel-Onowakpo declared, capturing the sentiment of many Nigerians who believe that the journey so far is only the beginning.
