Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated former Minister of Defence and renowned Paediatrician, Dr. Roland Oritsejafor, on his 80th birth anniversary on, November 21.
Oborevwori praised the former Minister for his calm and peaceful approach to politics, describing him as ”a great leader and a true patriot.”
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Thursday in Asaba, the governor remarked that Oritsejafor exemplified excellent leadership qualities that are truly worthy of emulation.
He described Oritsejafor, a former Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as an exemplary leader and role model. Through personal sacrifice and leadership by example, Oritsejafor has contributed immensely to the party’s consistent success in the state since 1999.
Oborevwori affirmed that Oritsejafor’s legacy as a detribalized Nigerian and respected leader is cemented by numerous testimonies of his remarkable accomplishments and significant contributions to nation-building.
Inter alia, he said: “On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate our leader and elder statesman, Chief Dr Roland Lere Oritsejafor, as he celebrates his 80th birth anniversary.
“As a member of the Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, you have consistently brought your wealth of experience to bear on the service of our beloved state.
“As a politician, you have distinguished yourself as an outstanding figure and source of inspiration to many observers.
“We will keep utilising the calm demeanour, unity, and assistance of highly successful and esteemed leaders like you in the development of our MORE Agenda.
“I join your loved ones, friends, and well-wishers in giving thanks to Almighty God for His unwavering protection, provision and guidance during your eight decades of exceptional achievement and patriotism.”
