Aggrieved community members dump coffin in front of PTI, Effurun

There was mild panic at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), in Effurun, Delta State as some members of Uvwie community dumped a coffin infront of the school.

Staff and students of the school were shocked to see a coffin with fetish items placed at the school gate on Wednesday.

A source confirmed to YourCitiNews that some members of Uvwie community embarked on a protest to express their anger over the method of employment going on in the school.

Allegedly, the authorities of the institution failed to employ qualified Deltans as members of staff, rather favouring those recommended by politicians.

Another source alleged that the community members suggested about 67 slots for employment in the school, whereas only 5 slots were approved, hence their agitation.

The residents insist that they’ll continue to express their displeasure by any means possible, even if it involves spiritual means.
