The First Lady of Delta State and the founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori on Monday, December 23, 2024, assured Deltans that the MORE Agenda of her husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori would spread even development across communities in the State.
Deaconess Oborevwori who stated this during the inauguration of Oko Ultra Modern Event Center, built by Hon. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, in Oko-Amakom, Oshimili South Local Government Area, noted that the project is part of the dividends of democracy that will spring up more development in the area.
While congratulating the people of Oko community and Oshimili South, the Governor’s Wife appreciated the council chairman, Hon Ezenyili for the thoughtful project that will serve those at the grass root and stand as a Legacy project of his administration.
She urged the community to preserve the facility, enjoy its benefits, and protect the legacy of the project.
Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori also flagged off the distribution of a Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000) empowerment programme for 500 persons in the Local Government, sponsored by the Council Chairman.
In his address Hon. Obi Ezenyili thanked the Wife of the Governor for identifying with the project. He explained that the initiative was birthed out of the desire to provide the community with a befitting place for social event.
He also announced the distribution of 220 bags of rice to the twenty wards in the Local Government, adding that the Governor approved additional 100 bags for the people.
Dignitaries at the event include; the Deputy Governor of Delta Sate, Monday Onyeme; member representing Ika Federal Constituency, Honorable Victor Nwokolo; law maker representing Oshimili South State Constituency, Honorable Bridget Anyafulu; State Commissioner for Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, among others.
