Eight Governors arrive for PDP Governors’ Forum meeting in Delta

Eight governors have arrived in Asaba the Delta state capital for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ forum scheduled for Friday. 

Host governor Sheriff Oborevwori during a dinner in preparation for the meeting where issues of unity of the opposition party will discussed ahead of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting called by the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

Governors of Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Plateau, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Osun, Taraba, and Zamfara states are on the ground while the deputy governor of Oyo State is representing Governor Seyi Makinde.

The Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum, is also present.

In his opening speech, the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori emphasized the importance of unity in Nigeria, urging everyone to ensure that unity is protected at all costs.
