Ethiope Federal Constituency: no one can defeat Ibori-Suenu – Golley

Former Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area, Chief Solomon Golley says the people of Ethiope Federal Constituency have decided to return Rt. Hon. Eriatake Ibori-Suenu back to the Green Chamber of the National Assembly because of her performance in less than two years representing Ethiope Federal Constituency.

Chief Solomon Golley gave this charge in an interview with our correspondent in Oghara, noting that with the ongoing defection of people from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abraka, Eku, Jesse, Kokori, Ovu, Mosogar and Oghara, it has shown that there is no one left in the PDP that can defeat the daughter of the former Governor of the State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who is presently the Chairman House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

This is coming on the heels of the PDP in Ethiope Federal Constituency sending a strong message to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, reaffirming its political supremacy ahead of the 2027 general elections,

Golley, a former Commissioner in Delta State who recently defected to the APC posited that Rt. Hon.Eriatake Ibori-Suenu’s defection is the worst thing that has happened to the PDP. This has allowed the APC to have two House of Representatives members and a Senator in Delta Central Senatorial District.

He also maintained that Eriatake Ibori-Suenu has surpassed those who have represented the Federal Constituency before now.

Also speaking, a Chieftain of the APC in the State and former Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite says the PDP has no candidates that can contest with Ibori-Suenu in Ethiope East, as she is poised to defeat any candidate the party will come up with if there’s any in the Federal Constituency.
