Tantita unveils 250-seater CBT centre in Delta

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has upgraded the Sologha Ekpemukpolo Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu LGA, Delta State.

This initiative, part of TSSNL’s corporate social responsibilities, aims to provide local students with direct access to essential examination facilities, eliminating the need for arduous travel to urban centres.

The Honourable Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Rt. Honourable Julius Gbabojor Pondi, recognising the challenges faced by students from riverine areas who had to journey to the hinterlands for examinations, advocated for its upgrade to a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.

The Administration Manager of TSSNL, Ms Daisy Jaja, who represented the Managing Director, Chief Kestin Pondi, during the unveiling, emphasised the company’s dedication to empowering communities.

“Today is not just about the donation of equipment; it is about a promise—a promise to invest in the future, to bridge the gap between dreams and reality, and to ensure that no ambition is left unrealised due to a lack of resources” Ms. Jaja said.

Mr. Victor Isereke, the centre’s manager and operator since its inception, expressed profound gratitude for the transformation.

Rt. Honourable Julius Gbabojor Pondi, who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Hon.Tonkiri Apu, lauded TSSNL’s commitment to community development. “Tantita Security Services has, once again, demonstrated its dedication to the Niger Delta region by upgrading the Ogulagha JAMB centre to international standards”.

Community leaders have also pledged to safeguard the facility. Mr. Daniel Okebor, the Ogulagha Community Chairman, emphasised the importance of security: “We have implemented measures to ensure the centre is protected from vandalism. Someone is always present to oversee and ensure that access is controlled. We are committed to preserving this valuable asset.”

Meanwhile, a Senior Secondary School Two Science student, Miss Isaac Hosanna, shared her relief “Previously, students had to cross the sea to write JAMB exams, which was challenging. Now, with our own centre, we are very happy and thankful.”

Similarly, Miss Peter Favour, also in Senior Secondary School Two, expressed her optimism: “I feel very happy that the situation is different for us now, thanks to this CBT centre. We are grateful to Tantita.”
