New chairman of DESOPADEC, Chief John Nani holds first Board meeting in Warri

The new chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief John Obukowho Nani, yesterday held his first Board meeting at DESOPADEC office in Warri, Delta State.

Chief John Nani who was a former Director for Finance and Administration in the DESOPADEC Board in the past administration was welcomed by a large crowd at his office with jubilant cheers and melodious songs.

In his speech, Nani stated that the Board shall establish a dedicated grievance committee to ensure that every staff concerns are duly addressed, insisting that all problems will be solved.

“We will set up a grievance committee for all staff that have anything that is bothering them, we will bring it here to the Board and the committee will listen to it and we will solve the problem”, he said.

Nani was a member of the 88-man transition committee constituted in preparatory of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s inauguration and Deputy Director and Coordinator of PDP Campaign Council in Delta Central Senatorial District, in the just concluded 2023 general elections

Former governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, on May 26th, inaugurated the newly constituted Board of Directors of DESOPADEC.
