It is no longer news that nude video of a Calabar University’s student in person of Esther a.k.a ‘Buba Girl’ had gone viral especially on social media platforms.
The unfortunate incident started when her boyfriend demanded for sex, instead of having that with him, the victim deliberately did a video of her masturbating and sent it to the love of her life.
The anonymous boyfriend after getting the video used another phone and recorded it. From that time, he has been collecting money from her while threatening to release the video if she refuse to heed his insatiable monetary demands.
At last, the demon in human flesh released the mighty video which ultimately brought shame to the victim, her family and the institution where she studies.
In this short writeup, I will give ten (10) solid reasons why ladies should never consciously or unconsciously send their naked videos or images to their boyfriends. The reasons therefore are thus;
- Boyfriends could use such nude images or videos to be monifying their pockets, collecting money frequently from the victims whenever they are broke.
- Boyfriends could still use the received nude videos or pictures to tarnish the personalities of the victims, dignity of parents and their relatives.
- Boyfriends that have nude videos and photographs could use it to ask for sex anytime of the day, the victims will be left with no option than to accept.
- Boyfriends with such unwholesome naked videos or pictures of ladies will use them to cause hatred, stigma and heartbreak with the new love such ladies already found.
- Boyfriends that own nude pictures or videos of ladies use them to cut short their life ambitions whereby causing institutions they study undoubtedly expel them.
- Released videos or naked images of ladies could make hypertensive parents of the victims die untimely due to the gravity of what their daughters did.
- No responsible individual and groups could ever relate with the victims or their families, the nude videos or images have the strength to abort the bond of trust and friendships.
- Ladies that send naked pictures or videos to boyfriends will never enjoy peace of mind and tranquility as they will continue living in shame and regret, such could lead to depression and suicide.
- Boyfriends that get nude images or videos of ladies will never marry them as venom of mistrust and fear of infidelity in marriage have gotten ground in their hearts.
- Ladies that send naked videos or images to guys will end-up living alone, other parents will caution their wards not to befriend the victims while being treated like slaves in their parental homes.
In conclusion, before delving into any unlawful act, ladies should rethink of the repercussions and provide answers to the following questions;
what will happen to their parents after such dastard images or videos get leaked?
Is the boyfriend more valuable than the dignity of their parents and would they be able to actualize their life ambitions?.
As such, parents especially mothers should make their daughters best friends, treat them with love, care and give them chance to share their joy and worries in order to resolve them amicably. Fellow ladies should bear in minds that mistakes of others should not be a laughing matter but great lessons to them.
