Task force on illicit drugs raid sex spot in Sapele
The Delta State government through its office of Human Trafficking and Illicit Drugs raided a popular hotel along New Road in Sapele and a brothel at Ogun-Aja area in its effort to curb open sex trade and ensure a drug free society in Sapele Local Government Area and the state in particular.
A video posted by TheSabiRadio on X (formerly Twitter), show operatives of the task force parading the girls at the raided spot instructing them not to cover their faces.
A minor was among the girls paraded as observed in the video which has now gone viral.
A sack bag containing what supposedly looks like marijuana “igbo” as mentioned in the viral video was discovered in the premises.
Recall YourCitiNews reported that the Delta State House of Assembly, last Thursday, called for the implementation of relevant laws for the arrest and prosecution of those involved in open sex trade and use of illicit drugs in the state.
Worried by the rising incidences of unwholesome acts among youths, the House, in a resolution it adopted at its plenary presided by the Speaker, Emomotimi Guwor, stressed the need for open sex trade and illicit drugs to be condemned in all ramifications.
The House, called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to direct the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development as well as law enforcement agencies to rise to the situation to curb the ugly trend.
