Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori has advised Igbos to fully embrace the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if they want to actualize their political ambition in Nigeria.
He gave the advice in his goodwill messages delivered on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Politics, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo during this year’s Igbo Day celebrated by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts at John F Kennedy Field Refinery Road, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area on Friday, 29th September, 2023.
Governor Oborevwori noted that it was not good for the core 5 states in the South East to be governed by governors of 5 different political parties.
Governor Oborevwori therefore strongly advised the Igbos to fully embrace the PDP if they want their political ambition actualised in Nigeria and that he wanted the South South and South East to be fully controlled by the Delta State ruling political party, the PDP to the applause of the audience.
Governor Oborevwori had earlier charged the Igbos on the establishment of an international business school in Delta State like the popular Harvard International Business School in order to teach Deltans the secret behind the success of business.
“You should invite Ohanaeze Ndigbo traders in other parts of the country to come and invest in Delta State. Delta State is opened to partnership in business with them. Delta State is peaceful and business friendly,” Governor Oborevwori added.
The occasion was graced by High Chief Patrick Okotor, Chief Edwin Akpojarho, Chief Jeffrey Okorokporo, Chief Aminu Ndidi (representative of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom), Hon Elvis Okpako Eboh (representative of Chairman of Warri Local Government Council), Nze Francis Onuora, Ogbonnaya Igwe PhD, Comrade Festus Ukeje (aka June 12) the Chairman of Lower Erejuwa Motor Spare parts Traders Association Comrade Emeka Odili, among others.
