A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and former General Secretary of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Gas Workers Workers (NUPENG), Chief Frank Ovie Kokori has said he was very pleased and happy with the delegation sent by the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR to visit him.
He added that he has received several calls from notable Nigerians across the country for weeks now even as he is getting better day by day.
Chief Kokori said this while speaking with the delegation of the APC and party leaders in the State, in his hospital bed in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, noting that he was pleased with the visitation.
Chief Tuesday Onoghe who led the delegation, stated that Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege was pained hearing of the health of the elder statesman as he prayed God to grant him quick recovery and sound health soonest.
Speaking further on the state of his health, the pro-democracy activist mentioned that he had received calls from the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and business tycoon, Femi Otedola, both of whom have indicated interest to fly him out of the country for medical care.
Kokori insisted that he is being taken care of and responding to treatment well here in Delta State.
Members of the delegation who paid him a visit include; Prof. Ibodj, Chief Tuesday Onoghe, Chief Joshua Asah, Bishop Philip Orovwudje, Prince Frank Ugen, Mrs Beauty Ubogun-Nze, Mrs Beauty Warujowei, Mr Victor Okito, Mr. Theo Bosah, Mrs. Else Gloria, Edijala, and Chief Collins Ezewu among others.
