Fast rising comedian, Eric Uwomano Ologbo popularly known by the stage name Ericardo is set to film a new stand-up comedy special titled “Woke People“.
Ericardo, known for his sharp observational humor and unique comedic style, revealed tantalizing details about “Woke People,” promising a show that transcends boundaries and resonates with a diverse audience.
In a world press conference which held on Friday, January 19th at EdgeRhythm Studios in Ugbomoro, Delta State, Ericardo noted that the aim of the comedy special is to achieve global standards of a comedy show in the city of Warri.
“Woke People” promises to be an extraordinary showcase of comic intelligence and seeks to highlight the stereotypes of the Gen-Z and Millenial generations.
During the press conference, Ericardo expressed his enthusiasm for elevating Warri’s status in the comedy world. He emphasized the need for homegrown talent to be recognized internationally and shared his vision of Warri becoming synonymous with top-tier stand-up comedy shows as seen on streaming giant Netflix.
Ericardo also emphasized the uniqueness and contrast of his comic brand in comparison to other comedians who have done comedy specials in the city over the years, expressing his excitement over thematic comedy specials which is right up in his wheelhouse thus building a household brand centered on it.
Event producer, Shinto who has worked with Ericardo on several comedy projects was also present and highlighted the theme of “Woke People” being a mix of both old and new generations.
