Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda not a slogan, but work plan – Izeze

Delta State Commissioner for Works, Highways and Urban Roads, Comrade Reuben Izeze says Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda is not just a slogan but a work plan to deliver more tangible and people oriented projects to Deltans.

Izeze disclosed this during inspection of projects sites of CCECC NIG LIMITED, contractor handling the construction of drainage channel from Owa-Alero and Owa-Alizomor and Owa-Odie to link Iyi-Amah Stream in Ika North East Local Government Area of the state.

The project consists of length of channel 6,020m with an open channel size of 1,220Lm, Sewer channel size of 1,550Lm Sewer channel size of 3,250Lm, double cell box culvert of 52Lm, Pavement length of 875m, Av. Pavement With of 7m.

Comrade Reuben Izeze who expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, commended the contractor and urged them to maintain the work flow as Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has always said that he is committed to completing all ongoing projects inherited from the immediate past administration.

“For this reason Governor Oborevwori who is a prudent manager of resources is ensuring that contractors are well funded to deliver on their contractual obligations.

“This administration can not afford to see projects abandoned in the state. The Governor is ready to inaugurate as many projects that are completed before his one year in office, in fulfillment of his meaningful development promise to Deltans.

“The MORE Agenda is not a slogan, it is a work plan to deliver More tangible and people oriented projects to Deltans.

“I am impressed with the job done so far, the project site is well planned out, and all engineering principles are being observed, the concretes slabs are solid, and would stand the test of time.

“This drainage channels will also help mitigate erosion that have been of grave concern to the people living within this community and their neighbors from disintegration if such steps have not been taken.”

The Works Commissioner was conducted round the site by the contractor who expressed readiness to deliver the project within three months.

The contractor assured that all precast job is 100% completed, and hopefully within now and May all the components will be coupled at their various sessions, which is less than 28% of the overall project.
