Rep Ukodhiko partners Delta govt on soft skills training of 400 young women in Isoko Federal Constituency

Member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, on Tuesday, partnered Delta State Government on the training of over 400 young women in the constituency with soft skills.

The soft skills training organized by the State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Service and Girl’s Child Development headed by the Commissioner, Hon. Orode Uduaghan was held at the Otobo Hall of Isoko South Local Government Council in Oleh.

The training had in attendance, wife of the State Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, represented by Dr. Evelyn Aluta, Executive Assistant to the State Governor on Women Mobilization, Barr. Mary Erijo, wife of the member representing Isoko North Constituency, Mr. Abigail Odior, her Isoko South Constituency 1 counterpart, Mr. Bino.

Others were the wife of the Chairman, Delta State Hospital Management Board, Mrs. Princess Oweh, Legislative aide to the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Mrs. Joy Egbo among others.

Hon. Ukodhiko, represented by Ms. Joan Omuyeh, commended the Commissioner in-charged of the Ministry, Hon Uduaghan for her passion, vision, and commitment to the economic empowerment of the young women in the State.

According to the House of Representatives member, “the program is highly commendable as it is aimed at empowering our young women in our constituency with relevant skills for self-reliance and improved human capital development.

In her remark, Hon. Orode Uduaghan, stated that the program was designed for the benefit of young women in Delta State, saying, “it will make them have substantial works and jobs that will bring money to pockets

According to the Humanitarian Affairs and Girl-Child Commissioner, “We all need all sorts of incomes in our lives. In this training, you will be taught on how to secure jobs and improve works through soft skills.

“This training programme is courtesy of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori and the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Pst. Jonathan Ukodhiko.

“The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Service Support and Girl Child Development is committed to making sure girls in the State are empowered.” Ms. Uduaghan said.

In her goodwill message, Mrs. Oborevwori, speaking through Dr. Aluta stated, “Skills development is a life changer”, stressing that skills are very relevant, skilled worker lives with confidence and assurance.

She urged the young-women to create a life for themselves and their families, saying they would benefits immensely from the soft skills training when they are committed.

High points were talks, and the training of the young-women by Jobberman, a leading Nigerian based job portal and career platform.
