Defending Champions, Warri Wolves, have emerged winners of 2024 Delta State Federation Cup Finals held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Warri Wolves defeated Delta Marines Football Club by two goals to nil, missing several scoring chances as they had more possession of the ball.
The Winners, Warri Wolves, were presented a trophy and a cheque of 500,000 naira while Delta Marines Football Club went home with a consolation prize of 300,000 naira cheque.
In the female category, Delta Queens thrashed Warri Babes five goals to nil amidst sports fans who thronged the Stephen Keshi Stadium despite the Easter celebration.
Highpoints of the closing ceremony were presentation of trophy to Delta Queens with a cheque of 300,000 naira while the runners up team, Warri Babes, got two hundred thousand naira, as well as presentation of medals to all the players and officials that featured in the finals of the male and female categories.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Chief Kenneth Nwamuocha, has commended the players and the officials for displaying good sportsmanship.
