Oborevwori felicitates erstwhile Deputy Governor, Elue at 84

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated a former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Benjamin Elue, on his 84th birth anniversary on June 6.

Governor Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, noted that Chief Elue, a distinguished educator and politician whose modesty, devotion, and loyalty has continued to inspire younger generation of politicians and leaders, served as former Governor James Ibori’s deputy from 1999 to 2007.

According to him, Chief Elue had been faithful and dedicated to the cause of uniting and strengthening the state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined family members, friends and associates in celebrating his remarkable life of service to the state and the country.

Oborevwori said: “On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Delta, it gives me immense pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations to you on reaching 84 extraordinary and eventful years of life.

“As a devoted administrator and patriot, your priceless contributions, especially to Delta and its people, will always be cherished.

“As a state, we are fortunate to have Deputy Governors who are incredibly devoted and faithful, and you are one of them.

“I join your family in celebrating your 84th birth anniversary and to thank Almighty God for all of His blessings, protection and guidance. I also wish you many more years of successful service to God and humanity.”
