LG Election 2024: ADC leaders brainstorm with party’s candidates in Delta

The leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) have enjoined the party’s candidates in the forthcoming July 2024 local government election to work-hard for victory, adding that the election would serve as a “litmus test” for Governor Oborevwori’s political integrity.

The leadership, therefore, called on Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) to be neutral and allow the will of the people to prevail.

The national and state leaders of African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the weekend met with its candidates at the state party secretariat in Asaba, as ADC party leaders brainstormed on way forward towards securing victory for the party come next month, July 2024 local government election in Delta State.

The party leaders had assured its candidates in the forthcoming local government election in Delta of the party’s support which is a follow up of the election activities to ensure that the will of the people, that is the electorates prevail during the forthcoming July election in Delta State.

Those party leaders present at the meeting with ADC party candidates for the forthcoming local government election in Delta State included, amongst others: ADC Delta State Chairman, Engr Okolie C Austine, former presidential aspirant and national leader of the party HE Dr Chukwuka Monye, former ADC Delta North Senatorial Candidate of the party and current ADC Deputy National Chairman, Hon Chief Dr Kenneth Chibogwu Gbandi.

Others are: ADC Delta State Secretary, Hon Chief Yebi Ebu Napoleon Ck, ADC Administrative Secretary, Mr Nwabuzo Nonso, and most importantly the ADC Candidates for the forthcoming local government election in Delta which included: Mr Okpah Steven Okolie, Mr Abia Okamadu, Comrade Randy Ugbejie and the host of others.

Speaking during the brainstorming sessions, Dr Chukwuka Monye charged the candidates to go back to their various communities, political wards and polling units and return victory to the party.

“He said: “The only genuine, renewed hope in Delta State is now ADC. Also, we call on the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) on the need to remain neutral and allow the will of the people to prevail.

“Anything short of that will not be tolerated. We also, Charged the candidates to work for their victories by ensuring that they win the election.

“Every candidates of ADC should not be intimidated of electoral manipulation rather they should work hard to win the election at the polling units for everyone to see they won and leave the rest”.

Finally, ADC Delta State Chairman, Engr Okolie Chukwuekwu Austine, who doubles as the Delta State Treasurer, Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC), has also assured the candidates that their victory will be secured.“The only thing we expect from the candidates is to win the election and that is all”.
