The Joint Committee on Environment, Works and Project of Warri South Legislative Arm, has commended the ongoing renovation of the burnt building at Nupe Street in Igbudu Market, Warri, expressing satisfaction with the quality of work being executed by the Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro administration of Warri South Local Government.
The Deputy Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, who doubles as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Environment, Works and Project of the House, Hon. Emmanuel Egbe, gave the commendation Monday September 23, when members of the Joint Committee, inspected the progress of work at the burnt building.
Hon. Egbe, described the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Isaac Agbateyiniro, as a proactive leader, who has committed a lot of resources in making sure the lives of people of Warri South get better.
He urged the Engineer on site to improve on the safety of the working environment, saying the contactor is moving at a high speed.
Hon. Egbe said that the project is expected to be completed in the next two months.
The Engineer in-charge of the project, Engr. Sunday Ogundeji, assured the Committee of the company’s readiness to deliver the project in record time.
Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Joy Ejumudo, Hon. Patrick Oneyor, Hon. Edith Olalebo, Hon. Felix Ojulu, Hon. Peter Mene, Hon. Monday Iriferi and Hon. Brume Eyekpimi, also gave plaudits to Comrade Agbateyiniro, “for his willingness in making the project complete.”
It would be recalled that the said building at Igbudu Market, Warri, was ravaged by fire July 3, 2024 and in less than two months, repair work has reached advanced stage.
