‘A New Era of Development’ — Oborevwori Congratulates Deltans at 34,

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sent warm congratulations to the people of Delta as the state celebrates its 34th birthday. He assured citizens that his government is focused on making progress and creating a better future for everyone.

In a statement shared on Tuesday in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor looked back on Delta’s 34 years of growth. He said the state has shown strength, teamwork, and steady development despite facing many difficulties.

Oborevwori thanked former leaders, traditional leaders, community leaders, and the people of Delta for their hard work and support. He said their efforts have helped keep the state united and moving forward in peace and success.

The Governor explained that his government’s M.O.R.E Agenda which stands for Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security is meant to build on the progress that has already been made, and to bring new growth and development to every part of the state.

He said, “On this 34th anniversary of our beloved Delta State, I am happy to congratulate every Deltan, whether here or living abroad. We have come a long way as a people who are united, loving, diverse, and united in our goal for progress.

“Our people can be confident that better times are coming. We are working hard to make stronger institutions, better infrastructure, support for businesses, empowerment for women and young people, and development that impacts every corner of Delta State,” he added.

He encouraged the people of Delta to stay hopeful, keep the peace, and support government plans and projects. He said the state’s success depends on everyone working together.

The Governor also urged the people to stay united and pray as the state moves into what he called “a new era of development.”

Delta State was created on August 27, 1991, during the time of General Ibrahim Babangida’s military rule.
