The wife of the Sapele Local Government Area Chairman, Chief (Mrs.) Diana Bobolo Abeke, on behalf of the Delta State First Lady, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has overseen and coordinated the ongoing distribution of educational materials across the state.
This initiative, part of the nationwide education support programme of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been extended to schools in Delta State through the Renewed Hope Agenda of the state First Lady.
Chief (Mrs.) Abeke led a dedicated team to several schools, where both pupils and teachers warmly received the donated books. The schools visited included Ofurhie Primary School, Okokporo Primary School in Okegborode, Otaramua Primary School, Palmer Primary School, and Uherevie Primary School.
Located in both rural and urban areas of Sapele, these schools expressed deep gratitude for the gesture.
While presenting the books, Chief (Mrs.) Diana Bobolo Abeke conveyed the goodwill message of Senator Oluremi Tinubu, highlighting the importance of education as a foundation for national development. She encouraged the pupils to develop a reading culture and make full use of the materials provided.
She also praised Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the Delta State First Lady, for her dedication to ensuring the resources reached grassroots communities and for her continued support of children’s education and welfare in the state.
The event was met with joy and appreciation from teachers, pupils, and community representatives, who recognized the initiative as a significant boost for learning and literacy in the area.
