The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Delta State has inaugurated 25 Local Government Coalition Committees across the three senatorial districts, in a move aimed at strengthening its grassroots presence and consolidating support ahead of future elections.
The inauguration, which took place simultaneously on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Asaba (Delta North), Ughelli (Delta Central), and Warri (Delta South), was supervised by the three Vice Chairmen of the party: Mrs. Chiwe Ejidoh, Hon. Obus Doughor, and Apostle Amos Peremene.
The event brought together coalition members drawn from diverse political blocs, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Obedient Movement, and the Buhari Support Organization.
Speaking in Asaba, the State Chairman of ADC, Engr. Austine Okolie, urged the newly inaugurated members to demonstrate commitment to the party’s Nigeria Rescue Mission, stressing that political transformation requires discipline, unity, and grassroots mobilization.
Okolie called on members to prioritize voter registration and ensure they secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), noting that “no meaningful political goal can be achieved without them.” He reminded the gathering that the ADC’s handshake symbol represents trust, unity, and the dream of a new Nigeria.

The chairman cautioned against indiscipline and anti-party activities, insisting that leadership positions in the ADC are earned through loyalty and hard work at the grassroots rather than desperation or propaganda.
The highlight of the ceremony came when Okolie led the crowd in the ADC anthem, which echoed calls for a “new Nigeria.” The charged atmosphere reflected renewed optimism among members about the party’s mission to provide an alternative platform for good governance.
“The ADC remains resolute in offering Nigeria a credible path to political transformation,” Okolie declared.
