The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Barr. C.S. Possible Ajede, has called on the youths of Obiaruku to promote peace and unity following the recently concluded Obiaruku Community Youth Election.
During an expanded meeting held today at his office—which brought together the Onotu-Ukus, the Obiaruku Community Development Association (OCDA), Team Bogu, Team No Bouncing, and other key stakeholders—the Chairman urged everyone to put aside their differences and work together for the growth and harmony of the Obiaruku clan.
Barr. Ajede particularly appealed to members of Team Bogu to withdraw the court case they filed over their dissatisfaction with the election process, stressing that dialogue and understanding are better paths forward.
He reaffirmed that “Obiaruku is one” and emphasized that there should be no room for conflict or division. Ajede encouraged all parties to accept the outcome of the election in good faith and focus their energy on building lasting peace and progress in the community.
In his remarks, Onotu-Uku High Chief Chiekem Daphey applauded the Council Chairman for his wisdom and fairness, comparing him to “King Solomon” for his sound judgment and leadership. Likewise, the President of the OCDA, Snr. Comr. Chikadibie Uwabuofu, commended Barr. Ajede for his neutrality and dedication to peace, describing him as “a leader for all” whose contributions will be remembered and appreciated by the people of Ukwuani.
He also urged Team No Bouncing and their supporters to be inclusive and ensure everyone is carried along in the spirit of unity. In addition, the Chairman instructed the Onotu-Ukus, the OCDA, and other key stakeholders to engage both factions and work towards genuine reconciliation and harmony.
