Alleged Murder: Delta CP orders arrest of sacked SSA Eruteyan Eredajaye

Following the murder of a man, Sam Onobraekpeya, Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda has ordered the arrest of the interim chairman of Adagbrasa Ugolo community in Okpe Local Government Area, Hon. Ejiro Eruteyan Eredajaye who is now at large.

“The CP has directed that the suspect must be arrested and brought to justice,” Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe said in a statement.

He said the deceased who was a leader of the sand beach in the community had an argument with the fleeing chairman over truck-load of sand and in the process a serious fight ensued, resulting in the chairman sustaining injuries in his body.

Edafe said the chairman rushed to the police station to incident the matter, but was given permission by the Divisional Police Officer to go to the hospital for treatment.

According to him, minutes later, the deceased younger brother, Prince rushed to the Police station to report that the said chairman with thugs allegedly attacked and killed his elder brother.

He said when the Divisional Police Officer probed a little into the matter, he discovered that the fleeing chairman only had a brief treatment at the hospital.

He said CP Abaniwonda had ordered the arrest of the suspect and whoever was involved in the dastardly act.
