Members of the All Progressives Congress in Udu Local Government Area have been urged to put aside selfish interest and work collectively towards the party’s advancement and achieve greater results come 2027.
The advise was given during the enlarged stakeholders meeting of the party presided over by the chairman of APC in Udu, Mr David Rhierobore and attended by the Udu local Government chairman, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode and other critical stakeholders of the party.
The chairman of the APC in Udu Local Government, Mr David Rhierobore who set the tune for the meeting faulted the agenda of the meeting held some weeks back at wetland hotel and called on party members to jettison the decision reached at the meeting as those who convened the meeting derailed from its initial agenda describing the outcome as null and void.
He however noted that as the party chairman whatever resolutions currently reached out nullifies and supersedes the earlier one and called on party members to be abreast with the Apc party’s constitution before taking some move and warned those trying to factionalize the party to have a rethink.
Mr Rhierobore who emphasized the importance of unity as key to the survival and success of the party come 2027 and beyond immediately set up some committees and announced Decon Eddy Onosorue as the Chairman of elders caucus of the party, Chief Sk Panama as chairman finance committee, sir Richard Odibo as chairman Organizing Committee, the chairman of Udu Local Government, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode chairman welfare committee while the member representing Udu in the state house of Assembly as member welfare committee which was adopted by party members.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of Udu Local Government, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, Deacon Eddie Onosorue, Sir Richard Odibo and Chief Andrew Orugbo amongst other leaders called on those with political ambition not to sow seed of discord and cause division amongst party leaders due to their selfish interest as that will be detrimental to the success of the party come 2027.
Olorogun Oyibode, Deacon Onosorue, Sir Odibo and Chief Orugbo called on party members particularly those with the intentions of seeking elective positions not to rock the already sailing APC boat in Udu, hinting that unity was the only way to achieve greater results and subdue any perceived political opponents.
The leaders of the party affirmed their resolve to work for the re-election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Tinubu come 2027.
