According to a recent article, it has been reported that the Gunners have been given an opportunity to sign Nigeria international striker Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. As the transfer window nears its end, Arsenal is actively seeking an additional forward, and Lookman has become a potential option.
As noted by Nicolo Schira, agents have reached out to the Gunners concerning the possibility of a transfer, acting as an alternative to Eberechi Eze. Several reports have elaborated on the Gunners’ interest in the Crystal Palace forward, who remains a key target for Arteta’s squad.
Lookman, who grew up in Peckham, London, is said to be available for around €50 million from Atalanta. The player has expressed a preference for a move to Inter, having already agreed on personal terms with the Milan side.
However, a deal has not yet been completed between the Serie A club, as the transfer fee poses a significant challenge. At present, the 27-year-old is taking charge of the situation, joining a rising number of players who have been absent from training.

Though Arsenal may target the Nigerian star, it is unlikely he will be used as a center-forward, a role currently filled by standout summer signing Viktor Gyokeres. Lookman is capable of playing on the wing and could potentially replace Gabriel Martinelli, but he was also utilized as a shadow striker at Atalanta last season, making him a direct alternative to Eze as a result.
Lookman possesses significant talent. Last season, he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 31 Serie A matches, while also being recognized as the statistically best attacker in the league by SciSports, demonstrating exceptional offensive metrics throughout the season.
