Afrobeats superstar Asake kicked off the 21st edition of Flytime Fest 2025 with an electrifying, sold-out performance for 20,000 fans at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos on Christmas Eve.
The highly anticipated concert saw Asake deliver a relentless stream of back-to-back hits, amplified by a lineup of surprise guest appearances.
Fuji music legend King Saheed Osupa joined him on stage for a memorable rendition of ‘Fuji Vibes,’ followed by his mentor Olamide Adedeji, who ignited the crowd with explosive tracks like ‘Amapiano.’ Zlatan Ibile also added his unique energy to the vibrant evening, as fans captured the dynamic stage presence in evocative black-and-white photographs.
This performance marked Asake’s first major show in Lagos following a series of successful global tours, and it served as a powerful fusion of his signature Afrobeats sound with his Fuji roots. The evening resonated deeply with cultural pride, paying homage to musical elders and setting an exceptionally high bar for the ongoing holiday party season.
The Flytime Fest continues its run through December 25, promising more star-studded performances and cementing its reputation as a premier destination for live entertainment during Nigeria’s “Detty December” festivities.
