Burutu LGA Boss Sues for Peace Assures of Infrastructural Development

Chairman Burutu Local Government, Hon Julius Takeme has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment towards ensuring peace and unity in all communities in the local government area.

‎Hon Takeme gave the assurance at the Ayakoromo Community Convention and swearing in of the newly elected executive of the community.

‎Ayakoromo community had recently experienced heightened tension arising from disagreements linked to the CLO election, a situation that necessitated the intervention of the Burutu council chairman.

‎In line with its statutory responsibility to promote peace and harmony, the Burutu Local Government Council successfully resolved the issues and subsequently fixed a date for elections into the various elective offices in the community, and peacefully conducted.

‎Addressing the people at the Ayakoromo community convention, the Burutu local government chairman, Hon Julius Takeme praised the people of Ayakoromo for their support and peaceful nature, which has brought about unity and understanding amongst them.

‎He called on the newly elected executives to ensure a level playing ground, carry all along, be accountable, transparent and trust worthy


‎Hon Julius Takeme called on the people of Ayakoromo Community to continue supporting the Delta State Government, led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, noting that the governor remains committed to infrastructural development in Ijaw areas, particularly Ayakoromo Community.

‎He stated that the long-awaited Ayakoromo Bridge project would be completed in no sooner time, adding that the state government is fully committed to the project.


‎The Burutu local government council chairman, Hon Julius Takeme assured of his administration’s commitment to development and safety of its people.
