Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has been cleared to contest for a seat on the FIFA Council.
Ahead of the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) elections, the list of candidates for various positions has been released
Other candidates for the FIFA Council include Fouzi Lekja (Morocco), Augustin Senghor (Senegal), and Andrew Kamanga (Zambia), among others.
One notable omission from the list is Cameroon FA president Samuel Eto’o, who had previously shown interest in running for the CAF presidency against current president Patrice Motsepe.
With Pinnick making the final list, he will now compete for a place in FIFA’s decision-making body, which oversees global football affairs.
