The Executive Director of Finance and Administration at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Oghenekome Okpobor, has called on youths across Delta State to remain committed to sensitizing Deltans on the laudable developmental strides of the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori-led administration.
Chief Okpobor noted that the M.O.R.E. Agenda of the state government has produced visible evidence of infrastructural and human capital development across the length and breadth of the state.
He gave this charge while addressing members of the Central Planning Committee of the Delta South 2025 Youth Summit, who paid him a courtesy visit at his office in the DESOPADEC headquarters in Warri.
Chief Okpobor described the role of youths in peace-building and national development as critical and urged well-meaning Nigerians to continue supporting and encouraging young people to consolidate the prevailing peace in the state.
Speaking further, the DESOPADEC Executive Director commended the energy and enthusiasm displayed by youths in championing the promotion of good governance and youth empowerment in Delta State.
He urged them to sustain their momentum in showcasing the positive impact of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration, assuring them that the Governor remains resolutely committed to the welfare and prosperity of all Deltans.

Chief Okpobor also reiterated his personal commitment to ensuring the success of the Delta South 2025 Youth Summit, assuring the planning committee that all necessary support would be promptly provided to guarantee a successful and impactful summit.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation, Comr. Hyacinth Ede, expressed profound appreciation to Chief Oghenekome Okpobor for his consistent contributions to youth empowerment and development in Delta South Senatorial District.
He also lauded him for taking on the responsibility of sponsoring the 2025 Youth Summit, describing his gesture as a major boost to youth participation and engagement in governance.
