A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State and one of the leaders in Isoko nation, Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh has expressed his firm belief in the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who is less than 100 days in office.
Chief Ogieh noted that Governor Oborevwori is aware of his roots and will not disappoint Deltans but make the people of the state proud.
Chief Ogieh gave this charge in an interview with YourCitiNews Freelance Reporter, Fredrick Umuerure in Uzere in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State during the grand reception in honour of the chieftain by the 10-man committee Savant Leaders of Uzere.
He called on all Isoko nation in particular and Deltans in general to pray and support the government of Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as he is poised to change the narrative to bring development to every part of the state.
Speaking on the issue of the ongoing Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Asaba, the immediate past Managing Director of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) asserted that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori won almost every part of the state.
He added that the petition at the tribunal by the ex-Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, challenging his victory is merely an academic exercise.
Chief Ogieh who is a staunch supporter of the PDP and has for a long time worked for the success of the party in Isoko nation and beyond, further urged the people to believe in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration to carry out more projects that would put smiles on the faces of the people.
He reiterated that himself, the present Governor and the immediate past Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa are united in taking Delta State and the party to the next level as opposed to rumours being spread around.
