What do you do?
I am the CEO and designer of naKIMuli Inc which houses 2 clothing labels – naKIMuli and Shanae. I also blog almost daily, and recently I have been thinking of taking up photography.
What inspires you?
Everything inspires me! But let’s narrow it down a bit: laughter, happiness, music, love, and people who create and live outside of the box
Why are you so fly?
I am fly cuz I taught myself how to sew and parlayed it into a business that houses 2 different clothing labels. I am fly because I am me all day every day. It took me a VERY long time to get here though. I am fly because I design clothing that is stylish, fun, and comfortable. I am fly because I am a nice, sincere, and optimistic person.
Advice to other young girls?
Stay true to who you are! Everyone is going to have an opinion about your life. Just nod, say “thank u for the wonderful suggestion!” and then let go of everyone’s opinion and do how u feel. Listen to your gut/inner voice! even if it tells you to wear open toe shoes in the dead of winter. Live BIG in every way. Be happy EVERY DAY. know that the universe/God works VERY QUICKLY once you let go of your fear and trust that you DESERVE greatness. You are already GREAT but sometimes it takes us a while to notice it. Realize your haters are fans disguised in green. Be kind to everyone, including yourself. I can go on and on…email me for more.
