The legitimate owners of Ighwrede land in the Orhuwhorun community, nestled between Orhruwhorun, Owhrode, and Usiefrun communities, have been granted a 7-day ultimatum to rectify all purchase agreements to prevent further legal action.

In a notice penned by Efe Olomu Esq. of Excellence Solicitors Legal Practitioners and Consultants on behalf of their clients—Clement Oshue, Ator Okolosi, Efete Rewa, and Hon. Newyear Okolosi—it was asserted that their clients are the rightful owners of the aforementioned land.

The solicitors elaborated in the notice that “our clients were declared as the owners entitled to the right of occupancy over the extensive land recognized as Uterhi Land in Ighwrede Bush, Orhuwhorun Community of Udu Local Government Area, Delta State. The land is positioned between Orhruwhorun, Owhrode, and Usiefrun, Delta State. They were affirmed as the rightful owners in Suit No: OUHC/24/2022.

“According to the Judgment in the Enrolment of Suit No: OUHC/24/2022 on November 1, 2023, all individuals who acquired any portion of the land in question from the Borlokor Family are hereby directed to adhere to the Judgment and the accompanying Orders within 7 days from May 20, 2024.“Failing to comply with the aforementioned directives will result in our clients exercising their rights over the area delineated in the Judgment,” it concluded.
