Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a message shared on Friday, September 5, 2025, Senator Dafinone described the celebration as a time for thoughtful reflection on the life, values, and teachings of the Prophet. He emphasized that the Prophet’s timeless message of peace, compassion, tolerance, and unity remains deeply relevant in today’s world.
He called on Muslims across Delta Central, Delta State, and the nation to use the occasion to pray for lasting peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria. He also highlighted the need for collective efforts across religious and ethnic lines to foster national unity.
“On this meaningful day, I encourage all Nigerians to show love, support the less privileged, and promote peaceful coexistence in their communities. By doing so, we honour the Prophet’s legacy and help build a more united and resilient Nigeria,” the senator said.
Senator Dafinone wished Muslims a joyful and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid, expressing hope that the celebration would usher in blessings, peace, and prosperity for families, Delta State, and the entire nation.
