Dafinone, National Health Fellows Set to Host Diabetes Awareness and Free Testing Outreach Across Eight Local Government Areas

Senator Ede Dafinone’s office, in partnership with the National Health Fellows, is launching the Delta Central Diabetes Sensitization and Testing Medical Outreach.

The program will run from October 1st to 18th, 2025, and will take place across all eight Local Government Areas in Delta Central Senatorial District.

Diabetes continues to be one of the most rapidly growing health issues in Nigeria, often going undiagnosed until serious complications like kidney failure, vision loss, stroke, or even death occur. Sadly, many people in Delta Central still lack regular access to testing and preventive healthcare.

This outreach program aims to provide free diabetes testing, awareness, and health education right within local communities, giving people the tools they need for early detection and better understanding of the condition. With the theme “Come Check Your Sugar Level O!”, the initiative highlights the importance of prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and community involvement in tackling the growing impact of diabetes.
