Afrobeats star, Davido, met ex-Delta Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and the newly sworn-in Governor of the state, Sheriff Oborevwori, at the inauguration reception on Monday in Asaba.
Oborevwori and his deputy, Monday Onyeme, were sworn-in as the State Governor and Deputy Governor respectively at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
Earlier, he had performed in Abia State that night at Governor Alex Otti’s post-inauguration ceremony which held in Umuahia Township Stadium.
Davido thrilled guests with some of his hit songs at the Inauguration dinner.
When the singer was later criticized for collecting a huge amount of money for performing at the party, he replied that he did not receive a dime for the performance. He said; “Not a dime. I’ve known Excellency all my life, he will do well in Abia State.”
