The First Lady of Delta State and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has urged women leaders and political stakeholders to step up grassroots mobilization to support the re-election and continued success of her husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She made this appeal during a courtesy visit on Wednesday, October 8, by the Noble Ladies Organization, led by the Deputy Governor’s wife, Her Excellency Ezinne Catherine Onyeme.
In her remarks, Deaconess Oborevwori encouraged women to stay united and committed to the shared political goals of both the state and the country.
The First Lady highlighted the importance of teamwork, discipline, and loyalty to leadership as key factors for political success.
“Teamwork is everything. We need to work together and stay aligned. There’s no politics without women,” she said, encouraging women to stand firm, support one another, and follow the guidance of their leaders.
Earlier in her remarks, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, who leads the Noble Ladies Organization, praised the First Lady for her outstanding leadership and the impactful humanitarian work she continues to do through the You Matter Charity Foundation.
She described Deaconess Oborevwori as “a caring mother and a source of hope,” whose commitment to empowering women, supporting widows, and uplifting young people has made a meaningful impact on many lives throughout Delta State.
Onyeme reaffirmed the group’s strong support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda and the initiatives of the First Lady’s foundation, pledging ongoing partnership in grassroots mobilization and women-driven community development.
The group honored the Wife of the Governor by presenting her with their organization’s outfit and donating 2 million Naira to support the charitable work carried out by the You Matter Charity Foundation.
