DELSU Inaugurates New Leaders for Intensive and Part Time Students Assembly

Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka has inaugurated Comrade Timothy Eduviere alongside ten executive officers into the Intensive and Part Time Student Assembly for the next one year.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor of the institution Professor. Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba while congratulating the newly inaugurated student assembly executives stated that the Intensive and Part Time Program of the institution gives opportunity to students under the program to obtain their first degree at the completion of the program.

Prof. Asagba who was represented by the Dean of Student Affairs Prof. Njoseh Ignatius Nkonyeasua called on the student assembly executive officers to be worthy ambassadors of the citadel of learning, saying that the program propel students for degree award in their various field of study.

In his remarks the Director of the Intensive and Part Time Programme, Prof Taruphor Mitaire Emmanuel charged students of the programme to take their studies seriously.
He added that the Intensive and Part Time Student Assembly Executive Officers are the bridge between the students and the school management.

In his acceptance speech, Chairman of the Intensive and Part Time Student Assembly Executive Officers, Comrade Timothy Eduviere said the Intensive and Part Time Student Assembly is not just a body of representatives but a beacon of hope for everyone under the programme on the campus where unique challenges in academic, social or administrative will be addressed.

Comrade Eduviere assured those present of the readiness of his executive to deliver on the task ahead.

On her part the outgone caretaker committee Chairman of the student assembly, Comrade Vivian Chidi thanked all who supported her administration and wished the newly inaugurated executive officers success in the task ahead.

Seated in the lecture theatre to witness the event were students of the Intensive and Part Time Program and Principal officers of Delta State University, Abraka.
