DELSU VC, Asagba, directs students to stay indoors

Vice Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Samuel Asagba has directed students of the institution to stay indoors on Thursday.

In a statement on Wednesday evening he personally signed, Prof Asagba, said: “I wish to inform you all that due to the security situation in Abraka town, I have directed all our students to remain indoors tomorrow Thursday, June 5, 2025 till Management is sure of the safety of both staff and students.

“Consequently, lectures and other academic activities will not hold tomorrow Thursday, June 5, 2025. Let us all hope for a return to normality after the public holidays,” Asagba concluded.

Recall that on Wednesday afternoon, two Abraka indigenes were killed by suspected kidnappers in what has been described as a reprisal attack following the death of four kidnappers who were gunned down by security operatives during an operation earlier in the day.
