Delta commences disbursement of housing, vehicle loans to civil servants

The Delta State Government has officially commenced the disbursement of Housing and Vehicle Loans to qualified civil servants, with a strong emphasis on fairness and transparency.

The Head of Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Mininim Oseji, made the statement during the formal presentation of the loan cheques at her office in Asaba, Delta State.

Oseji, charged all key stakeholders involved in the loan process to uphold integrity and conduct thorough due diligence in the consideration, approval, and disbursement of the loans.

She commended the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Head of Service, Mr. Maxwell Ause, for his efforts and directed that the names of all applicants, along with their expected disbursement dates, be publicly displayed to ensure openness and accountability.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Loans Committee, Mr. Maxwell Ause, revealed that over 700 applications had been received and properly documented. He stated that 11 new beneficiaries were receiving their loan cheques, while four others were receiving their final housing loan installments.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries. Some recipients received between ₦800,000 and ₦1 million as Vehicle Loans, while others were granted ₦2 million to ₦2.5 million as Housing Loans.
