Delta Community Receives Hilux to Combat Crimes

In a bid to boost security and improve mobility in Usiefrun community, Ughelli South Local Government Area, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship, Dr Paul Gelor, has donated a Nissan Hilux to the community’s vigilante group.

‎Presenting the vehicle, Dr Gelor said the donation aligns with the peace and security pillar of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, while also donating a dispatch motorcycle to the founder of God’s Will Mission, Archbishop Solomon Gbakara.

‎Handing over the document of the already registered Nissan Hilux and the vehicle to the president of Usiefrun community, in the presence of Elders, women folks and the youths, the executive assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship stated that it was disheartening to hear that as developed as Usiefrun community, the vigilante group do not have a vehicle to respond to distress call hence he was motivated to purchase the vehicle for the community.

‎Dr Gelor expressed optimism that the Vigilante group of Usiefrun community would be further motivated and combat ready to checkmate the activities of criminal elements and combat crime in the locality and reduce it to the barest minimum.

‎He stressed that Governor Oborevwori is deeply committed to the safety of lives and properties in the state hence he was not joking with the alphabet E in the MORE Agenda which is to enhance security and peace in all parts of the state.

‎Dr Gelor who is an indigene of Usiefrun community called on the people of the community to continue to give the desired support to Governor Oborevwori in order to reap more benefits of the MORE Agenda.

‎To the youths of Usiefrun community, Dr Gelor tasked to shun criminal tendencies, be innovative and take advantage of the numerous skills acquisition programs of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led administration to sharpen the lives and add value to their living standard.

‎A prominent political leader in Ughelli South, Hon Chris Oghenechowen who was represented by the Executive assistant to the Governor on political matters, Olorogun Gondons Okomitie and a former vice chairman of Ughelli South Local Government council, Mrs Victoria Jowah described Dr Gelor as a committed and true ambassador of the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

‎The President of Usiefrun community, Engr Edoja Julius Onosogho who said he was amazed with the various philanthropist gestures of the executive assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurship, maintained that Dr Gelor has disguised himself amongst all the political appointees in the state describing him as a true ambassador.

‎He hinted that  the presentation of Nissan Hilux will in no doubt boost the morale of the vigilante group in the community and enable them respond swiftly in combating crime in the community
