Delta Community Suspends Vice Chairman after Stolen Iphone was Found in his Possession

Authorities in Okurode community, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, have disciplined their Vice Chairman after a stolen iPhone was discovered in his possession, following earlier confusion that led to an innocent woman being wrongly accused.

The incident which happened on Saturday began when the phone went missing, prompting suspicions and initial blame directed at a woman who later turned out to have no involvement in the theft.

Community members launched an investigation, which eventually led them to Kosini Street, where the missing device was recovered.

According to community sources, the iPhone was found with the Vice Chairman, triggering swift disciplinary action.

He was subjected to community flogging and subsequently suspended from his position.

Leaders in Okurode said the decision was taken to preserve accountability and restore public confidence, especially after the wrongful accusation of the woman earlier in the case.
