In a continued commitment to clean and sustainable energy, the Delta State Government has announced the construction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Daughter Booster Stations across key locations, beginning with Warri and Asaba.
The state-of-the-art facilities are designed to serve as essential refueling hubs for the state’s expanding fleet of CNG-powered buses.
According to the Delta State Commissioner of Transportation, Hon. Onoriode Agofure, “the initiative promises improved fuel efficiency and a significant reduction in carbon emissions and air pollution.
“It aligns with the state’s mission to deliver environmentally responsible transport solutions while supporting Nigeria’s broader national energy transition goals.
“By investing in CNG infrastructure, the government is setting a new benchmark for cleaner, safer, and more cost-effective public transportation. The daughter stations will ensure a consistent supply of CNG to buses operating across Delta State, enhancing the reliability and sustainability of its mobility network.
This development represents a major milestone in the state’s journey toward a greener future, one bus, one city, and one station at a time.
