Delta CP remove DCO over N2.4m extortion

The Delta State Commissioner of Police (CP), Abaniwonda Olufemi, has ordered the removal of the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) 2 of Abraka Division, SP Ibrahim Ishaku, over alleged extortion of N2.465 million and misconduct.

The spokesman of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who disclosed this to journalists, said the alleged extortion was levelled against the officer and that on receipt of the report the commissioner directed the DPO of Abraka to report at the headquarters alongside SP Ishaku.

He explained that the CP, after getting a brief on the incident, ordered the removal of the DCO 2 with immediate effect and also issued him a query for misconduct.
