The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has once again urged investors to seize the many chances available at the Delta Special Economic Zone, which is also known as the Kwale Industrial Park.
After checking the facilities at Delta Wire Industries on Wednesday, Onyeme said the park is well-placed to attract businesses that need easy access to gas and other resources.
He explained that the Kwale Gas Gathering (KGG) facility and Nedogas Processing Plant are already working, while Delta Wire Industries is getting ready to start full production. At least six companies are planned to set up operations in the park.
“This is a great time for business people to consider Delta State. We already have two businesses running here, and with the good environment created by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s government, more investors will find Delta a great place to grow their businesses,” Onyeme said.

During the visit, the CEO of Delta Wire Industries, Mr. Osaro Abusomwan, talked about the company’s plans to produce a variety of products, including wires, nails, medical needles, syringes, and compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders.
He added that the CNG revolution should start in Delta State because of the large amount of gas found there. “We have the rights from NNPC to supply gas, and our facilities are built to support many industrial activities,” he said.
Onyeme was pleased with the progress at Delta Wire Industries, saying the development was better than the plans he had seen before.
He promised that the state government will support the project fully to make sure it runs smoothly.
“What we have seen here is positive. It is better than the papers we looked at in the past. I will take this good news back to Governor Oborevwori, and I am sure he will move quickly to help this project,” Onyeme said.
The Deputy Governor was joined by important members of the Delta State Economic Team, including the Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Okenmor Tilije; the Special Adviser on Finance, Investments and International Development, Chief George Orogun; the Chief Economic Adviser, Dr. Barry Gbe, the Private Secretary to the Governor, Mrs. Lyna Ochulor; and the Director-General of the Delta State Investment and Development Agency (DIDA), Hon. Emeka Elekokwuri.
Mr. Abusomwan praised the Oborevwori government for making Delta State a welcoming place for investors, and promised that Delta Wire Industries will play a big role in the state’s industrial growth.
